    Terms of Service

    These Terms of Service govern the use of https://garbagedisposalla.com and all garbage disposal repair, replacement, and appliance-swap installation work performed by Garbage Disposal LA ("we", "us"). By booking service you agree to these terms.

    1. Scope of Work

    We provide mobile, on-site garbage disposal diagnosis, repair, replacement, and appliance-swap installation at your address. In California this work is handyman-scope appliance work and does not require a CSLB contractor license. We do not run new electrical circuits, perform permit-level plumbing, or pull building permits. If a job needs a licensed electrician or plumber, we will tell you before starting and will not charge for work we cannot legally or safely perform.

    2. Pricing and Fees

    • Travel & diagnostic: $75. This fee applies to every visit. It is never waived and is never credited toward the job.
    • On-site repair: $99 (repair without replacing the unit).
    • Replacement labor: $249. Unit not included — if we supply the disposal, its price is quoted separately.
    • Extra piping / additional plumbing: +$99. This also covers a dishwasher drain hookup.

    You receive the full price before any work begins. Quotes given by phone or through our online calculator are based on the information you provide and are confirmed on-site. Estimates for parts and units are valid for 14 days.

    3. Scheduling, Access and Cancellations

    An adult 18 or older must be present at the service address for the entire visit and must authorize the work. Please clear the cabinet under the sink before we arrive. You may cancel or reschedule at no cost by calling before the technician is dispatched. If we arrive and cannot access the property or no adult is present, the $75 travel fee is still due.

    4. Payment

    Payment is due in full upon completion of the visit unless agreed otherwise in writing. We accept the payment methods listed at the time of booking. Unpaid balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by California law.

    5. Warranty

    1-year workmanship warranty on all labor. Units we install keep their manufacturer warranty; warranty claims on the unit itself are handled by the manufacturer. The workmanship warranty does not cover damage from misuse, foreign objects in the grinding chamber, drain-line conditions outside the disposal, freezing, power surges, or work performed by someone else after our visit.

    6. Customer-Supplied Units and Pre-Existing Conditions

    If you supply the disposal, we install it as-is and cannot warranty the unit or defects it introduces. Older plumbing, corroded fittings, and non-standard installations can fail when disturbed; we will point out risks before starting, but we are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or for hidden damage that only becomes visible during the work.

    7. Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our total liability for any claim arising from a service visit is limited to the amount you paid for that visit. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

    8. Website Content

    Content on this site — including pricing guides, DIY instructions, and blog articles — is general information, not a guarantee of results, and does not replace an on-site diagnosis. DIY work is at your own risk. Site content and images are our property and may not be reproduced without permission.

    9. Governing Law and Disputes

    These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. We ask that you contact us first — most issues are resolved with a return visit.
