Two things drive most of the Glendale calls we get. The first is age. Fix: Pulled the disposal, punched out the knockout plug the previous installer had left in place, reconnected. Fixed in 25 minutes.
Montrose
Issue: Mid-century ranch off Honolulu Ave — disposal tripping the breaker every time it was switched on.
Fix: Traced the fault to a corroded neutral inside the wall switch (older aluminum-to-copper splice). Replaced the switch, tested the disposal — running clean.
